Four-Adventurer parties that actually cover Assault, Disruptor, and Support instead of stacking splash art.

Monster Hunter Outlanders Team Comps

A Monster Hunter Outlanders party is not four people standing next to a Rathalos. It is four class seats. This page writes example squads using the live official roster. Steal a row, then check it in the squad builder before you queue. If you do not know the names yet, start at the Adventurer list.

Comp 1 — First co-op, any locale

SeatAdventurerClassWeaponJob
1Fated AdventurerAssaultLong Sword or Great SwordLearn the monster, hold the face
2RayaDisruptorDual BladesDemon Gauge, keep it from resetting
3MadelynSupportBowSpores, medicines, party buffs
4Ouyang VarenAssaultLanceGuard the cart, Impetus on openings
BuddyTrillanSupportExtra sustain while people still miss rolls

This is the “we read how to play yesterday” party. Two Assaults because beginners cart on contact. Raya is the pre-register Dual Blades, so she is the Disruptor most accounts will actually own. Madelyn is the Support everyone should try before they call Support boring.

Play this on forest Rathalos and Pink Rathian before you touch Radiant variants.

Comp 2 — Radiant Rathalos

Radiant Rathalos breathes near-molten flame and runs its domain like a king. You need a burst Assault, a pierce or coating Bow, and a Support who can keep people standing through the frenzy.

SeatAdventurerClassWeaponJob
1PyroAssaultGreat SwordEat a hit, dump the charge into the head
2LukaAssaultBowThunder Coating through airborne windows
3MadelynSupportBowSpores on the body, detonate on knockdown
4PepperDisruptorHeavy BowgunAerial interrupt, slow the frenzy
BuddyTrillanSupportSecond heal seat; do not bring Palico here

Two Bows looks greedy until the monster is in the air for half the hunt. Pyro still owns the grounded head. Pepper’s Ultimate is the panic button when Radiant Rathalos winds a breath you cannot roll on a small phone. Details live on Radiant species and how to hunt Radiant.

Comp 3 — Radiant Diablos / horn pressure

Reinforced horns, underground charges, rock that does not exist after the first slam. You want a Lance on the face and a Disruptor who can punish the tunnel.

SeatAdventurerClassWeaponJob
1Ouyang VarenAssaultLanceGuard the charge, Impetus into the skull
2ArkayaSupportLanceResolve shield when the party eats a horn
3PepperDisruptorHeavy BowgunCatch the emerge, slow the next dive
4Fated AdventurerAssaultHammer or Great SwordBlunt or charge on the stunned head
BuddyRutacoDisruptorField tools, extra interrupt

Two Lances is intentional. Diablos is a guard exam. Arkaya being Support means you do not have to park Madelyn on a monster that hates range. If your group cannot play Lance, swap seat 1 to Pyro and accept more carts. The melee weapons page covers both Lance kits.

Comp 4 — Poison and spores (Rathian line)

Pink Rathian and Radiant Rathian both make poison the real timer. Madelyn is not optional flavour here; she is the person who understands venom as a resource.

SeatAdventurerClassWeaponJob
1MidoriAssaultLong SwordTail, counters, Spirit Gauge
2MadelynSupportBowSpores, poison, party bloom
3RayaDisruptorDual BladesStay on the legs, stop the spin
4Fated AdventurerSupport or AssaultBow or Dual BladesSecond coating or second tail cut
BuddyTrillanSupportVoice sustain through poison ticks

Midori’s Rathian-coded kit is thematically cute and practically useful: she already plays the tail game. Raya’s mobility matches a monster that wants to turn in place. If someone in voice is new, make them the Fated Adventurer on Adventure Mode so they stop thinking about Foresight Slash.

Comp 5 — Flagship scare (Ruger Aidal)

Nobody has a complete live kill script for Ruger Aidal because the reveal is days old. The particles-as-armor description still tells you the triangle.

SeatAdventurerClassWeaponJob
1ArkayaSupportLanceShield the heat wave
2LukaAssaultBowPierce coatings through particle armor
3KeresDisruptorDual BladesRelentless pressure when it lands
4PyroAssaultGreat SwordBurst the opening after a vanish
BuddyTrillanSupportAssume the cart is coming

This is a coverage comp, not a speedrun. If your friends only pulled Raya, she can take Keres’s seat. If nobody plays Lance, the Fated Adventurer becomes the shield. Do not invent a solo one-shot; the review is already skeptical of mobile Elder Dragons without party structure.

How to steal these comps without copying names

  1. Write the three classes on paper.
  2. Put your best player on the monster’s ugly mechanic (guard, interrupt, or heal).
  3. Put the Fated Adventurer on the weapon the named hunters do not cover. Hammer is the obvious flex once you have it; see the Hammer overview.
  4. Match the Buddy to the hole, not to the mascot you like.

If a banner adds a new Support Heavy Bowgun next month, swap Madelyn, keep the triangle. The tier list will move names. The jobs will not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for hunters landing on Aesoland.

How many Adventurers go on a hunt?

Co-op is up to four players. Each player brings one Adventurer (or the Fated Adventurer) plus a Buddy. This page writes the four player seats.

Can I run four of the same Adventurer?

Technically, if everyone pulled the same name. You will miss interrupts and heals. Radiant hunts punish that.

Does the Fated Adventurer count as a class?

The Fated Adventurer takes whatever class you queue. Treat that seat as the patch for whatever the named hunters do not cover.

Are these comps for CBT or launch?

They use the nine named Adventurers on the official site as of August 2026. Swap in new names when banners add them; keep the triangle.

Where do I test a comp before queuing?

The squad builder flags missing classes. The hunt planner suggests a kit for a chosen monster.
