Monster Hunter Outlanders Adventurer Tier List

Tier lists for a game that is still in closed beta are how hunters lie to each other. This one is labeled honestly: CBT 3 snapshot, nine named Adventurers, four-player hunts, Classic Mode assumed. It ranks party usefulness, not splash art. Pair it with the weapon tier list and hunt builds.

S — you want this seat

Fated Adventurer. Not because the created hunter hits harder than Pyro. Because they are the only person who can take Hammer tomorrow and Support Bow the next day. In a live-service hunt with an unfinished armory, flex is S.

Madelyn. Support Bow with Spores is the kit other parties borrow. Poison hunts, Radiant Rathian, generic sustain. If you only pull one named Support, pull the one who also damages.

Pepper. The only named Heavy Bowgun, and she is a Disruptor interrupt rather than a turret. Aerial fire plus an Ultimate that slows is a unique seat. Duplicate Dual Blades cannot replace her.

A — first mains, first pulls

Pyro. Assault Great Sword with a pain-to-power loop that makes mobile GS less of a sitting duck. Veterans can do the same job on the Fated Adventurer. New hunters cannot.

Raya. Disruptor Dual Blades, stamina into Demon Gauge, pre-register SR. She is the Disruptor your account is likely to have. That availability is part of the rank.

Midori. Assault Long Sword with counters. Veteran comfort pick. Slightly less unique than Pyro because Long Sword is also a fine Fated kit, but her Spirit acceleration is a real Adventurer layer.

Ouyang Varen. Assault Lance. Guard exams exist. Radiant Diablos exists. He is A because Lance is A, not because the character is flashy.

B — good, overlapping, or specialized

Luka. Assault Bow is real, Thunder Coating is real, and he overlaps Madelyn’s weapon while not overlapping her job. Take him when the monster flies. He is B in a generic queue because many hunts still happen on the ground.

Arkaya. Support Lance is the interesting kit: Resolve into a giant shield. She loses to Madelyn in general queues and wins on horn hunts. Specialist, not a first pull.

Keres. Second Dual Blades Disruptor. If you have Raya, Keres is a style swap, not a new role. If you hate Raya’s stamina spend, Keres is your Disruptor.

How to use this without wrecking your account

  • Fill Support and Disruptor before you pull a second Assault.
  • Do not bench the Fated Adventurer because a banner glows.
  • Re-read this page after every patch that adds an Adventurer. CBT 2 added names the first list did not have.
  • For a specific monster, ignore S/A/B and open the hunt planner.

If a YouTuber’s “META GUIDE” disagrees, check whether they ranked weapons or Adventurers. Those are different columns. We split them on purpose.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for hunters landing on Aesoland.

Is this tier list for launch?

No. It is a CBT 3 snapshot using the nine named Adventurers on the official site. Banners and balance will move names.

Why is the Fated Adventurer high?

The created hunter can take any weapon and any class. That flexibility is worth more than a slightly stronger locked kit in a game that still adds weapons.

Should I pull Pyro?

If you like Great Sword and want a named kit, yes. If you can play Great Sword on the Fated Adventurer, you can wait.

Is Raya S tier because she is free?

Raya is high because Dual Blades Disruptor is useful and she is the Adventurer most accounts will own after pre-register. Free plus good is still good.

Where is the weapon ranking?

On the weapon tier list. Builds live on the hunt-builds page.
