The hunt planner is for the moment you know the monster and do not know the kit. It is not a spreadsheet. It returns a class, a weapon, and a named Adventurer that actually exists on the roster. Use it before a gated hunt so you do not spend energy on the wrong fantasy.

How to read a result
- Class is the party job. If your friends already filled it, take the Fated Adventurer on a different job instead of cloning the name.
- Weapon is the move set. If you cannot play it in Classic Mode, pick the next best thing you can execute.
- Adventurer is a shortcut. Ownership is optional.
- Notes are the homework: poison, horns, air, frenzy, particle armor.
Then open the matching dossier: Radiant species or Ruger Aidal. Then, if you have four humans, run the squad builder.
When not to use it
If you are still in the first hour, ignore the dropdown and play Lance or Dual Blades on the Fated Adventurer. The planner assumes you can already hunt.
If your question is “is Pepper better than Raya,” you want the Adventurer tier list, not a monster match.

Why a planner instead of a screenshot loadout
Most “best build” posts freeze a banner week and then rot. The planner is a role matcher: it will still be true when a new Dual Blades Adventurer ships, because Radiant Diablos still has horns and Radiant Rathalos still flies. If you need a named pull, open the Adventurer tier list after you know the job.
Walk a sample: you queue Radiant Anjanath. The planner says Assault plus Lance or Great Sword. That is Ouyang Varen, Pyro, or the Fated Adventurer. It is not Raya, even if Raya is free from pre-register. Free and wrong is still wrong.
Second sample: Pink Rathian. Support plus Bow is Madelyn. If your friend already locked Madelyn, you take Midori on the tail instead of a second Support Bow. The planner cannot see your party; the squad builder can.
Third sample: Ruger Aidal. Full coverage is not a cop-out. There is no public kill script yet. Shield, pierce, Disruptor. If your clan wants a speedrun doc, they will have to write it after launch, not extract it from a gamescom trailer.
Limits you should not ignore
The planner does not know your overlay. A Lance recommendation is useless if you never enlarged the guard button. Read controls first. It does not know energy. Do not spend a gated hunt testing a kit you have never swung in the overworld. It does not know CBT wipes. Do not screenshot a planner result onto a beta character and call it a main.
If a monster is only a silhouette in a trailer — Kushala, Nergigante as of the gamescom name-drop — it is not in the dropdown. That is deliberate. Monster list explains what is portrait-complete.
Device questions do not belong here. Phones belong on system requirements. If the hunt still feels bad after the kit is right, the overlay or the mode is the next lever, not a different S-tier name.
