Monster Hunter Outlanders Squad builder

Four seats plus a Buddy. Missing Support is a red line, not a vibe.

Monster Hunter Outlanders Squad Builder

The squad builder exists because splash art is not a composition. You pick four Adventurers and a Buddy. It tells you whether Assault, Disruptor, and Support are present. Green means you remembered the class triangle. Red means you queued four Dual Blades and called it a plan.

Squad builder

Fill four Adventurer seats and a Buddy. The builder flags missing Assault, Disruptor, and Support coverage.

How to use it in voice chat

    1. Everyone names their hunter.
    2. You set the four seats.
    3. You set the Buddy to the hole, not to the mascot.
    4. If Support is red, someone swaps to Madelyn, Arkaya, or Trillan.
    5. If Disruptor is red, someone swaps to Raya, Keres, Pepper, or Rutaco.

Then you still need a monster plan. That is the hunt planner and the team comps page.

    Flex is not magic

The Fated Adventurer can cover a missing class if they queue that class. Putting “Fated” in a seat and then playing Great Sword Assault does not heal the party. Say the class out loud.

Buddies explains why Palico is not a healer. Co-op is the etiquette layer. Tier list is which names are strong, which is a different question from “are we missing Support.”

What green lights do not mean

Three greens means the labels are present. It does not mean the players can execute. A Support Madelyn on Adventure Mode who never detonates Spores is a green lie. A Disruptor Pepper who plants the Heavy Bowgun in a Diablos charge is a green cart. Voice the interrupt button before you ready-up.

Four named Adventurers can still be a bad hunt if they all melee a flyer. After the builder is green, open the hunt planner and check the weapon column against air time, horns, or poison. The two tools are meant to be used in that order: seats, then monster.

    Pickup groups

Random queues will ignore this page. If you are the one person who read it, take the seat they skip — Support or Lance — and accept that Ruger Aidal is not a pickup. Friends can be sent the team comps tables instead of a lecture.

The builder includes duplicate names because people will queue them. If you see four Rayas, you are looking at four Disruptors. Dual Blades stacked is still one job. Swap two seats or do not queue a Radiant.

    Buddies as the fifth seat

Changing Palico to Trillan is the cheapest fix in the game. It does not require a banner. If Support is red and nobody will play Madelyn, the owl is the patch. If Disruptor is red and your Dual Blades player is in another hunt, Rutaco is the patch. If everything is green and you still want a cat, Palico is finally allowed.

CBT wipes mean this loadout is practice. Launch accounts should still start here before they spend Contracts on a second Assault.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers for hunters landing on Aesoland.

    Does Flex cover every class?

The Fated Adventurer is treated as Flex, which can stand in for a missing role. In a real hunt you still have to queue the class you promised.

Can I pick the same Adventurer four times?

The dropdown allows it because pickup groups will do it anyway. The coverage list will then look ugly on purpose.

    Do Buddies count?

Yes. Palico is Assault, Rutaco is Disruptor, Trillan is Support.

Is this for CBT or launch?

It uses the nine named Adventurers on the official site plus the Fated hunter. New names will be added when they are real.

What do I do after I get three greens?

Pick a monster in the hunt planner and make sure the weapons still match the homework.
