Monster Hunter Outlanders System requirements
What phones actually ran Monster Hunter Outlanders closed betas — and how to read a store listing without lying to yourself.
Monster Hunter Outlanders is a 3D Capcom-licensed hunt on a phone, not a 2D idle. If your device struggled with Call of Duty: Mobile on high, you will struggle here. This page collects public CBT floors and common sense. It is not a fake “minimum / recommended” table invented for SEO.
CBT 2 public floor
Press around the second closed beta repeated a hardware gate:
- Android: Snapdragon 845 or higher, Android 12 or newer.
- iOS: iPhone XR class, iOS 17 or newer.
That is an old flagship floor, not a 2026 ultra. It is still more phone than a generic gacha. If you are on a Snapdragon 6xx from 2019, pre-register anyway, then check the live listing on day one before you promise friends a co-op night.
What to look at on the store page
On Google Play (com.tencent.mhadv) and the App Store, read:
- OS version
- Download size (3D hunts grow)
- “Works on your device”
- Whether pre-register is even offered in your country
Level Infinite publishes globally; Garena publishes in parts of Southeast Asia. Install from the storefront that will own your account.
Settings that save a hunt
You cannot shader-pack a phone into a console. You can:
- Lower shadows and crowd density first, not resolution last.
- Enlarge overlay buttons even if it looks ugly. Missing Foresight carts harder than 20 extra pixels.
- Close overlays and recording apps. Thermal throttling on a 15-minute Radiant is a real wipe.
Heat, battery, thumbs
Short hunts still heat a SoC. Charge before a gated energy hunt. Thumbs fail before GPUs do; take a break instead of swapping to Adventure Mode as a personality.
Platforms that do not exist yet
No confirmed PC client. No confirmed console version. Community wishlists for Switch 2 are wishes. This wiki will add a row when Capcom or TiMi says the sentence.
If your question was “can I play,” compare your chip to Snapdragon 845 / iPhone XR, then pre-register. If your question was “should I play,” read the review.
Storage, thermals, and a hunt that actually starts
3D hunts grow. Leave several gigabytes free so a day-one patch does not fail at 90 percent. Close screen recorders. A Radiant hunt that thermal-throttles in minute four is a wipe you will blame on the Lance.
Thumbs fail first. If Classic Mode hurts, you do not have a bad phone, you have a bad overlay. Controls is the fix. Adventure Mode is the backup for a commute, not a substitute for a flagship party.
Network: live-service. Do not promise airplane-mode hunts. Do not buy a third-party “PC client” APK. Level Infinite and Garena are the storefronts that will hold your pre-register gifts. A sideload will not.
If your chip is above the CBT floor and the game still looks like mud, lower shadows before resolution, then test a small overworld hunt before you spend energy. Energy is the scarce resource described in how to play. Wasting it on a slideshow is how people rage-uninstall a hunt that was fine on medium.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers for hunters landing on Aesoland.
What are the official launch requirements?
Launch pages can still change. CBT 2 publicly cited Snapdragon 845 or higher on Android 12, and iPhone XR on iOS 17 or newer as a test floor.
Will it run on a budget phone?
TiMi has a reputation for scaling, but this is a 3D hunt with large monsters. Expect to lower settings or miss frames on anything under the CBT floor.
Is there a PC client?
Not confirmed. Developers declined to comment when asked. Do not buy a store page that is not official.
Does it need constant internet?
It is a live-service mobile hunt. Community requests for offline exist. Do not assume airplane-mode hunts until a patch says so.
Controllers?
Requested constantly. Overlay customization is the current answer. Watch patch notes.
