Monster Hunter Outlanders Nergigante
The Extinction Dragon is in Aesoland. CBT 3 put it in a limited four-player challenge with adjustable Omens.
Nergigante is not a rumor silhouette anymore. Gamescom 2026 lists it beside Rathalos, Rathian, Diablos, Kushala Daora, and Anjanath as a series icon on Aesoland. Then the English operations team, on 28 August 2026, posted that elder dragon Nergigante had arrived in the third closed beta and opened Nergigante Approaches in the Event Center.
That is enough to give it a page. It is not enough to paste a World hitbox spreadsheet and call it Outlanders.
What CBT 3 actually ran
Official event copy:
- Duration: starts 28 August 2026, 4:00 UTC.
- Path: Event Center → Nergigante Approaches.
- Squad of four.
- Combine Omens to adjust hunt difficulty.
- Earn points to unlock rewards.
The same post added a test-limited title and avatar frame for logging in, and bundled Freya’s Crimson Authority banner. None of that survives a wipe. Read CBT history before you farm a frame you will lose.

How it sits next to Ruger Aidal
Ruger Aidal is original, rare, particle armor, second sun. Nergigante is the elder that shows up when other elders are nearby and then tries to eat the island. Outlanders can run both. Do not collapse them into one “flagship” slot.
If press is right that some listed elders get Radiant forms, Nergigante is a candidate. Until an official Radiant Nergigante blurb exists, keep it off the Radiant species table.
Practical prep
- Four players. Omens exist to punish pickup Dual Blades stacks. Use the squad builder.
- A shield seat (Lance) and a Disruptor interrupt. Spike regen in the series punishes greedy Great Sword that never sheathes.
- Support. Short mobile hunts make two carts the whole fight.
- Do not spend launch energy on a CBT memory. When Nergigante Approaches returns on a persistent account, come back here.
